The SSHRMANJ offers four types of membership to suit your needs:
Professional Members that are current standing SHRM National Members who designate SSHRMANJ as their Chapter of choice. Professional Members may vote and hold office. Professional membership is limited to those individuals who are engaged as one or more of the following: a) at least three years in an exempt level human resource management position, b) certified by the Human Resource Certification Institute, c) faculty members with three years experience holding at least assistant professorial rank in Human Resource Management or any of it specialized functions, d) full-time consultants with at least three years experience practicing in the field of human resources management, or e) full-time attorneys with at least three years experience in counseling and advising clients on matters relating to the human resource profession. Members who are current National SHRM members and designate this Chapter as their Chapter of choice are entitled to discounted dues. Must provide National SHRM Membership I.D. Number.
General Members. Individuals who do not meet the requirements for Professional Members, individuals in a non-exempt human resources management position or current standing National SHRM Professional Members who do not designate SSHRMANJ as their chapter of choice. General Members have voting rights, but may not hold office.
Associate Members that provide a service or product to the HR professional, such as employment agencies, trainers, consultants, etc. or individuals in who demonstrate a bona fide interest in human resource management and the mission of the Chapter. Associate Members may not vote or hold office in the Chapter.
Student Members. Individuals who are enrolled at an accredited institution of higher education for at least six credit hours. Student Members may not vote or hold office.
